Meta Unveils Ray-Ban Meta Scriber & Blazer: Smart Glasses for Prescription Wearers

Meta is about to make its biggest move yet in smart glasses. According to Bloomberg and newly surfaced FCC filings, the company is preparing to launch two brand-new Ray-Ban smart glasses models: the Ray-Ban Meta Scriber and the Ray-Ban Meta Blazer.

This is the first time Meta and Ray-Ban are targeting prescription wearers directly — a massive market that has been underserved by the current lineup. The new models are designed from the ground up to accommodate prescription lenses comfortably.

Meanwhile, Bloomberg also reports that Meta's new display-equipped Ray-Ban glasses (a separate product with a built-in screen) have been delayed in the EU due to battery regulations and AI compliance requirements. Supply constraints are also a factor.
