Samsung's next-generation smart ring is shaping up to be a significant upgrade. According to leaked documents obtained by SamMobile, the Galaxy Ring 2 will feature a slimmer profile at just 2.4mm thick — down from 2.6mm on the original.
The biggest addition appears to be continuous SpO2 monitoring, a feature that was notably absent from the first Galaxy Ring. Combined with improved heart rate tracking accuracy and a new skin temperature sensor, Samsung seems poised to close the gap with Oura Ring Gen 4.
Battery life is reportedly getting a boost too, with Samsung claiming up to 9 days on a single charge for the medium size. The charging case is also getting wireless charging support via Qi2.
Other rumored features include:
- New titanium colorways including Brushed Gold and Graphite
- Improved Samsung Health integration with AI-powered insights
- Gesture controls for Galaxy phones
- ECG capability (pending FDA approval)
The Galaxy Ring 2 is expected to launch alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in August 2026, with pricing starting around $299. We'll update this article as more details emerge.
